ABOUT
My name is Jon Tingley. I am a 2D Animator, Character Designer, Background Layout Artist, Background Paint Artist, and a Prop Designer. I also have a background in Graphic Design, Sound Editing, and Video Editing.

I started my creative journey back in high school with a strong passion for music which lead to music production, sound and video editing, and marketing in my early 20's. After years of music and marketing I found my true calling in Animation and Graphic Design. The story telling I found comfort in through music felt much more rewarding in cartoons and animation. Through my 20's I found a way to bring music and animation together in my own styles with all my passion projects.

After years of growth and self learning I decided to move past only working on passion projects and to turn my passion into a career. I have taken on a few Freelance Jobs and met a lot of great people along the way. I have worked on projects for 3 Pill Morning, Suburban Noize Records, Truth Beats, Perennial Green Lawn Care, JET's Auto Detailing, and more. These projects range between logo designs to animated videos.

Over the years of working as a Freelancer I also gained experience in management by operating under a few company names. I produced content under ECCB Productions and Tingley's Graphic Design and Media. As growth comes natural to me I felt it was time to make a change. In early 2021, 8 years after my very first animated project, I decided to produce and operate under the company name Purgatory Studio Creations for all of my passion projects. While doing so, I want to continue growth and building my portfolio.

After all, having fun, growing, learning, and doing what you love is the goal isn't it? Now, I am looking to meet great people, seek employment in a studio within the industry, and to seek projects and work as a Freelance Artist.
